Would strongly advise to use a local, independent surgery rather than this big corporation. My poor lab went through hell when she was spayed - twice - both times unsuccessfully. This caused numerous health problems for the rest of her life - she ended up having emergency surgery (at a different practice) which cost over £1k, as well as a lifetime of health complications due to the errors made at this practice. Put your money into a veterinary service who care about your pets and their well-being. I will never set foot in store again after what they did to our girl.

Please, I urge anybody to exercise caution , go to trustpilot and see for yourself the level of care you receive from vets4pets ! My 2yr old dog was treated here at Taunton and sadly he never got to enjoy any more life. Through my own investigations I discovered blood tests I paid for and were documented as service provided were not run at all . This came to light when I needed the results . If you investigate and in anyway substantiate your claims which I have you are basically ignored , the manager will not answer those questions . My heart is broken for my dog but also for the wonderful caring vets around who have to be tarnished with companies such as this . Be wise , look for an independent vet , one with continuity of care. My case will not stop here , I am prepared to fight for justice . Yes it’s daunting against a corporation and they know that but I have stamina . So deeply disappointed Taunton branch , your dealings with my loss has been eye opening and disturbing

After already being extremely anxious with this vet after a bad experience I was reluctant to bring my cats back. I had them in for a check to get them the correct flea treatment. Once I got home after I had given one of my cats a pill I had realised they’d given me the wrong dosage!! When I called I spoke to someone who seemed to have no idea what I was talking about and had no idea what they were prescribed and kept asking me what I had given them. No concern for my cat’s wellbeing. Luckily the dose was too small but makes me really think they do not double check before prescribing and could have easily given a higher dose.

The waiting area isn't very big and though there are different areas for dogs and cats to wait, they aren't very big or hidden from one another, so I would be mindful if your animal is aggressive. That said, there was no overflow while I was there. The staff were polite, and the vet was knowledgeable and kind. He was able to quickly advise me on information I needed regarding food for my animal that I wasn't aware of, and I was grateful for his expertise. I have only been once, but my experience so far has been pleasant, and I would recommend this vet.
